The comic Spider-girl is one of the few titles I carry that does consistent sales from month to month. I attribute this to continuing good stories, and dedicated fan support. Many times Marvel has attempted to cancel this book, but the loyalty from both fans and retailers has kept it alive. I know I enjoy the book and order in extras every month so that others have a chance to pick it up. One thing I do applaud Marvel for is their decision to collect the issues in its newer digest format, allowing people to get caught up with the characters, without breaking their pocketbooks. I hope that we can keep this book going, so I encourage all of you to do all you can to support this campaign.

My name is Timothy Grubbs. I work at a Florida comic shop called Universe of Super-Heroes. I received your flier this morning and hung it up on our front door with our other posters advertising new books.
I happen to be a huge Spider-Girl fan and read just about anything Tom Defalco writes. I hope that Spider-girl is saved yet again and will do my part to help.

Hi, I received your letter today. First I would like to commend you for not only taking the time to write, but also the expense I am sure you incurred in contacting other shop owners and printing up the flyers. If we had more fans in the industry like you this industry would be much better off.
Not only do I plan to hang the flyer you sent but I also plan on ordering about 5 times my normal amount on this issue. I normally only order 3 copies ( for subscribers who request it). 15 is still not many copies but hopefully other shops will do the same and we can at least triple the sales on that issue. Had you not sent the letter I would probably have missed Marvel's tiny solicitation for it.
Please feel free to put a link to my site on your website ( or address phone etc) and I will be putting a link to www.savespidergirl.com on my website. If you have a banner you would rather I use please feel free to email it to me.

We are certainly happy to help save Spider-Girl. We've enjoyed the comic for many, many issues. We have placed the flyer that you sent us on our front door of Movies, Music & Heroes. Most people didn't know that the Spider-Girl series is in serious
trouble. If there is anything else we can do, feel free to ask.
Sincerely,

I just received your Spider-Girl flier and will gladly hang it at the front register. Personally, I disagree with Marvel’s decision to cancel the book. While it doesn’t perform with huge numbers for me it is a solid 9-10 copy seller in my shop and has been for the last 3 years. I’ll bump #97 by a couple copies to have them available on the shelf. Hopefully you’ll be able to convince other retailers to do the same.
Good luck on the campaign!

Thank you for the spider-girl flyer, which I have displayed in my store. Although I have only a few subscribers for this title, I agree with your letter that the display may generate additional sales.

I thought you might like to know that I've had one person add Spider-girl #97 to their pull, and another ask me when the issue is coming out.
I'm going to leave the flier taped to our door until the issue comes out.
We were Happy to put up your flier and hope your efforts are noticed and acknowledged!!

Hi, my name is Fernando Ventura. I work at a comic shop in Los Angeles called Dream World Comics. We have many Spider Girl readers that have pull files in our store. We have put up the flier along with our other posters in our display window, and have made copies to put in our readers bags so they know what’s going on. We hope that Marvel will not cancel Spider Girl because of the fan base this great comic has.
Thank You

Here at Dreamscape we've seen sales steadily rise over the past few years.
However, since the cancelation has been announced my sales have taken a huge jump.
I'll certainly do what I can to help save this title. I'm already ordering substantially more copies, but I'll do what I can to get new people hooked.
My guess is a big part of the sales problem is that most shops across the country aren't even ordering the title at all, or they simply don't get extra copies for the rack. I've always gotten extras for the shelf and they always eventually sell. The real challenge is to reach out to those retailers who can't be bothered.

We here at Twin City Comics have posted your flyer AND will increase our orders for Spider-girl 97. Spider-Girl sells better for us than the following Marvel titles, Black Panther, Marvel Knights 4, Fury, and it sells numbers equal to Cable/Deadpool, Captain America, & New Thunderbolts. Thanks for your efforts; I hope you/we are successful! Please encourage Marvel to not only continue the series but to NOT re-start the series with an issue #1. You said you would publish our store info on your savespidergirl website so here it is.
